If you no longer need the BitBoxBridge, you can remove it from your computer. This guide provides simple uninstallation steps for each operating system.
Uninstall on Windows
- Open the Start Menu and go to Settings.
- Click on Apps, then select Apps & features.
- Scroll through the list to find BitBoxBridge.
- Click on it and select Uninstall. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the removal.
Uninstall on macOS
You can remove the BitBoxBridge manually using Finder.
- Open Finder.
- From the menu bar at the top of the screen, click Go > Go to Folder...
- Type
/Library/LaunchDaemons/
and click Go. - Find the file named
ch.shiftcrypto.bitboxbridge.plist
and move it to the Trash. You may be asked for your password. - Click Go > Go to Folder... again.
- This time, type
/opt/shiftcrypto/
and click Go. - Move the entire
bitbox-bridge
folder to the Trash. - Restart your Mac to complete the uninstallation.
Uninstall on Linux
Open a terminal and use the command that matches your Linux distribution's package manager.
For Debian/Ubuntu:
sudo apt-get remove bitbox-bridge
For Fedora:
sudo dnf remove bitbox-bridge
After following these steps, the BitBoxBridge will be completely removed from your system.
