If you no longer need the BitBoxBridge, you can remove it from your computer. This guide provides simple uninstallation steps for each operating system.


Uninstall on Windows

  1. Open the Start Menu and go to Settings.
  2. Click on Apps, then select Apps & features.
  3. Scroll through the list to find BitBoxBridge.
  4. Click on it and select Uninstall. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the removal.

Uninstall on macOS

You can remove the BitBoxBridge manually using Finder.

  1. Open Finder.
  2. From the menu bar at the top of the screen, click Go > Go to Folder...
  3. Type /Library/LaunchDaemons/ and click Go.
  4. Find the file named ch.shiftcrypto.bitboxbridge.plist and move it to the Trash. You may be asked for your password.
  5. Click Go > Go to Folder... again.
  6. This time, type /opt/shiftcrypto/ and click Go.
  7. Move the entire bitbox-bridge folder to the Trash.
  8. Restart your Mac to complete the uninstallation.

Uninstall on Linux

Open a terminal and use the command that matches your Linux distribution's package manager.

For Debian/Ubuntu:

sudo apt-get remove bitbox-bridge

For Fedora:

sudo dnf remove bitbox-bridge

After following these steps, the BitBoxBridge will be completely removed from your system.
