This guide shows you exactly where to find and activate the Coin Control feature in the BitBoxApp. This feature is turned off by default, but you can enable it at any time through the settings menu.
How to activate coin control
Follow these steps to turn on the feature:
- Open the BitBoxApp and click on Settings in the bottom-left corner.
- In the settings menu, click on the Advanced settings tab.
- Find the option labeled "Enable coin control" and click the toggle switch to turn it on. The switch will turn blue, indicating the feature is now active.
That's it! Coin Control is now enabled. A new option will appear on your 'Send' screen, allowing you to manually select which coins you want to spend.
Frequently asked questions
I enabled the setting, but I don't see anything new. Where is the feature?
The Coin Control feature is only visible when you are about to make a transaction. To see it, go to one of your Bitcoin accounts and click the Send button. On the screen where you enter the recipient's address, you will now see a new button called Toggle coin control.
Can I turn it off again?
Yes. You can turn Coin Control off at any time by following the same steps and clicking the toggle switch again. The BitBoxApp will return to automatically selecting coins for you.
