FAQ
Why is PO box delivery only guaranteed with DHL?
DHL offers a standardized and supported PO box and packing station system in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Other carriers do not provide the same reliability or address format support.
Can UPS deliver to PO boxes or packing stations?
No. UPS generally does not deliver to postal PO boxes or packing stations. For this reason, delivery to PO boxes cannot be guaranteed for UPS shipments.
However, UPS can deliver to:
- UPS Stores
- UPS Access Points
- Other designated UPS pickup locations
These locations have a valid street address and are part of UPS’s own delivery network. They are not postal PO boxes, but physical addresses where UPS drivers can hand over parcels.
If a shipment is addressed to a PO box that UPS cannot serve, UPS may contact you to request an alternative address or return the shipment to us.
What happens if delivery to a PO box fails?
If the carrier cannot deliver to the provided address, they may request an alternative address or return the shipment to us.
Where can I find more detailed instructions?
For a step-by-step explanation directly from DHL, please refer to their official guide on receiving parcels at a post office or pickup location:
How to address parcels to a postal outlet
This guide explains eligibility, registration, and the correct address format in detail.
Can I change the delivery address after ordering?
In most cases, no. Once an order has been shipped, delivery address changes are usually limited or not possible.
Please make sure all delivery details — especially when using a PO box or packing station — are correct before placing your order.
If you notice an address error after your order has already been shipped with DHL, there is one possible option:
- If you have received the DHL tracking number and the shipment is already on its way, you can digitally reject (decline) the delivery via DHL.
- Once rejected, the parcel is automatically returned to us as the sender.
After rejecting the shipment, please contact our support team and include:
- Your order ID
- The DHL tracking number
- The correct delivery address
As soon as the returned shipment is on its way back to us, we can arrange a reshipment to the correct address.
You can find DHL’s official instructions for digital delivery rejection here:
Digital Refusal to Accept Delivery for recipient customers
Please note that this option is specific to DHL. Other carriers usually do not support address corrections or digital delivery rejection.
