Why are my tokens not in the BitBoxApp?

The BitBoxApp natively supports the Ethereum network and certain ERC20 tokens. If you sent crypto using a different EVM-compatible network (like BSC, Polygon, or Avalanche), the assets are secured by your BitBox but will not be visible in the BitBoxApp.

To see and manage these tokens, you need to connect your BitBox to a compatible third-party wallet like Rabby. This guide shows you exactly how to do that.

Requirements

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • BitBox Multi edition
  • Google Chrome or Brave browser
  • Rabby wallet browser extension installed
  • BitBoxBridge installed and running

Find your missing tokens

Follow these steps to locate assets sent over a different EVM network.

Step 1: Connect your BitBox to Rabby

If you have not done so already, first connect your BitBox to the Rabby wallet.

Step 2: Switch to the correct network

  1. Open the Rabby wallet extension in your browser.
  2. Click on the network selector displayed at the bottom of the Rabby window.
  3. In the "Select a Chain" menu, search for and select the network where you sent the tokens (e.g., "BSC" or "Polygon").

Step 3: View and manage your assets

Rabby will now show your balance for that address on the selected network. Your missing tokens should now be visible.

  • Use the “Send” function in Rabby to transfer the assets. To make them visible in the BitBoxApp, you must send a natively supported token to your address on the Ethereum network.
  • To pay for transaction fees, you will need a small amount of the network's native coin (e.g., BNB for BSC, MATIC for Polygon) in the same wallet.

Troubleshooting

If you have trouble connecting, try these simple steps.

Rabby does not detect my BitBox:

  • Close the BitBoxApp completely, as it can block the connection.
  • Make sure the BitBoxBridge application is open and running on your computer.
  • Temporarily disable other wallet extensions (like MetaMask), as they can interfere.
